Over haloween, we have a tradition to go camping at a local campground, where they do trick or treat at the campsites, a haunted trail, free pumpkin decorating, hay rides, and a campwide chili night. The kids love it. (when it isnt snowing or raining:) WE had a blast, and decided to start a new tradition of a family theme costume. This year: 5 little monkey's jumping on the bed. I found the kids brown sweats for 4 dollars a set, brown hats for a buck a piece, to which i glued on ears, and nylons at goodwill, which I cut shorter and put a few pennies in to make them hang and swing.(THANKS AMY!!:) I must say, the kids were adorable. Cassie balked a little at having to be a monkey and not some frilly girly thing, but since it was all of us dressing together, she warmed up to the idea. So, I am trying to start thinking about next year and what we will be.....:)
