Yesterday, i spent half my day running around indiana with my friend to track down the boys birthday gift. We had decided to give it to them early so they could enjoy it before their actual birthday. So, tyson rushed home after work so we could give it to them. We had them stand in front of the garage with their eyes shut while it opened...They both just smiled when they saw what it was! ( i REALLY love sam's face in the background!:)
complete with their own license plates.
SO happy to have a BOY bike. Up til now they had been riding around 2 girl bikes that sam and her friend outgrew. They didn't know they said "glamour girl" on the side..:) The boys did rip off the handlebar tassles...hehe. These are MUCH better!:)

they are 20in., a little big, but with it being the end(ish) of summer, and then they wont be riding them til next year, we figured we would get them a little bigger, to save us from buying another new one next year..however, it is taking them a while to figure out how to start going when they cannot hardly touch the ground.:)
they rode all afternoon, and again after dinner. Needless to say, after a day off school and riding bikes..they were pretty sleepy last night!:) I cannot believe they are 6 this saturday. It has been 6 years since i birthed a baby. CRAZY. I love you boys so much and can't wait to see where the Lord takes you in life!
Tyson and i were having lunch today ( with our 1 child :) and i had a thought. Placed in my mind, by the Lord. I have been struggling with life. I am tired of playing the "christian" game...I WANT my life to BLEED Christ. I want to live "on mission" ALL the time. I want to live the EXTREME.
I had been thinking about 3rd world countries..selling it all, and moving to minister to people. Quit chasing the "american dream". I dont want a huge house, and all sorts of beautiful things in it. I want to SERVE the Lord with everything I have. Give it all for the sake of Christ. But then I thought: I can do that, in my children. I can LIVE that for my children to see. I can raise them in such a way that touches hundreds of lives ALL over the world. Living Christ, through me, through them. Just think of how many lives can be impacted, all over the world, through 5,6,7,8 children, living THEIR lives EXTREMELY for the Lord. However that looks. That thought....both excites me and scares me stupid. LORD, give me wisdom, patience and a vision for what you have for our family...For me, to live is CHRIST.

Today. My baby went to school today. She was SO excited to FINALLY be able to put her backpack on like the rest of the kids!:) Here she is with her pick-up sign!We went by daddy's work so she could say goodbye and take a picture with him!:)
I think she was more excited about the goodbye part.
the drop off line was extremely long. I started to get a little teary while waiting in the line..I asked her what are you going to do?
her answer: " not pee,or poop in my pants"!
Me: "and?"
Her: " OBEY MY TEACHER!"
Me: "AND HAVE FUN!":)
She's so funny!

They help her out of the van, and off she goes..she didn't even look back.:)
I was hoping to have gotten a call about a job at the big kids school i was trying to get by today, but since i didnt, i drove out of town with a friend to pick up the boys birthday present . SO excited to give it to them!:)
Tyson and dad did one side of the house over the weekend. While doing that, tyson got stung by a bee on his ankle. The next day, he woke up with it looking like this:
i keep calling him sausage foot. It looks hilarious. ( he went to the doc, its not infected, just very swollen, and the swelling should go down in 4ish days). In the mean-time, he limps around...
had to share this yummy dinner i made the other night..a quick version of chicken Florentine. SOOO good. and so filling!

here's what our neighbors have to look at when they go past. I know they love it.:)
But at least its ready for whenever dad and tyson get to it!
heres a pic of the side they did do in progress...
and it all finished. I LOVE IT!!! It looks so nice and clean!:) Cannot wait to get the rest done.
..well, here was my last week, in a few pictures. Hope you enjoyed it!:)
PRAYER REQUEST:
My good friend and her hubby are leaving in 2 weeks to go get their new son from Ethiopia!
Please pray for safe travels and that Mel( their son) will transition well.
Thanks friends!

Hello. I can't believe it's already friday...this week went by so fast. My 4 oldest started school on Monday. all day kindergarten.. They are doing really good so far and LOVE their teachers!

It has been SO weird having only 1 child all day long. She keeps saying to me, " it's just you and me mom, just you and me.":)
We had a chance to do her 4 yr pictures the other night I am quite pleased with how they
turned out. Shows her personality!:) enjoy!

Today. 1 year ago. We were getting ready to leave the very next day for a road trip to California, when we got a call to say my sis-in-law's water broke. Ms Emma was born. A few days later, we got to meet her. She stayed in the NICU for 10 days, so I got to visit her there and then got to see her come home...it was SO awesome how God planned that out so we could all meet her.
And now she's one already. Where in the heck did the last year go?? seriously? I was suppose to go out for this weekend...sigh. It's killing me I am not there....Happy Birthday sweet niece. I love you.

The last 3 weeks...

Cassie arrived safely home from her 2 weeks in florida. she had so much fun, but man did we all miss her.Mitchell lost his first tooth. And also had a successful dentist appt.:) YAY!
and I saw this.
not sure how well you can see it, but there was a rainbow completely circling the sun. SUPER cool.
this last month has been ....hard.
God is teaching me and stretching me and sometimes its hurts.
But I know it is all to conform me to the likeness of his son, so even in the midst,
I will praise Him.

• When self-doubt whispers, “I can’t do that. I’m going to fail and look foolish.” Throw away that lie away and hold onto this truth (even say it out loud): “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6, NIV 1984)

• When self-doubt whispers, “I’ll never change.” Throw away that lie away and claim this truth: “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in [me] will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6, NASB)

• When self-doubt whispers, “This is too hard for me. I don’t have what it takes to…” Throw away that lie away and hold onto this truth: “No, in all these things [I am] more than a [conqueror] through him who loved [me].” (Romans 8:37, NIV)
