Can you believe it's October already? Where did this year go? I went to a ladies retreat a few weeks ago...and have had the best 3 weeks since. Our speaker was Peggy Walker. She and her husband founded "vision for youth". They travel around and encourage youth and youth workers. She was sent to us ladies straight from the Lord. So many of us didn't even realize we were burnt out..weary..and bitter. The whole weekend was just one thing after another of God speaking to me over and over. One of the verses she talked about Lamentations 3:21-24
"his mercies are NEW every MORNING"...we need to be filled in the morning with his mercy. He knows what our day looks like, he know we will need to give mercy and grace( and receive it!:) to our kids and our husbands..but challenged us with this;
How can you give mercy to your family when you haven't been filled up by the mercy giver?
SO what I needed to hear.
So, since the retreat, God has given me a new passion. For his word, for spending time with him.
For prayer. Every day I read something in the word that speaks to me RIGHT where i am at.
Isn't our God good?! :)
This past month was full of weekends working on the house. We have been needed new siding for about 2 years, and finally decided to just do it.. The boys enjoyed helping pull out the old nails!

And here is what it looks like now! So nice. Now we just need to do some finishing things and land scape...and then on to the inside. Unfortunately, money is..well...yeah, it will probably have to wait til spring. fooey.
A very cool GOD story.. We had a piano that the girls were using to practice for their piano lessons, but it was totally old, out of tune, keys missing and just not worth fixing..so we got rid of it and put lessons on hold for a while. I got a call from my friend saying Grace college was selling several pianos, so i went and looked at a few. They were nice and a GREAT price, so we were thinking to just put it on credit, since we don't have ANY extra $ right now. I had taken a few pictures of them and took them over to the lady who did the girls piano lessons to see what she thought. She said we should choose the 250$. I continued to talk to my mom ( she works with her) and all of a sudden their piano teacher was handing me a check for 200$. She said someone gave her the money to use for ministry in any way she wanted and this is what she wanted to use it for! I bawled( of course). When I called Tyson and told him, he was silent on the other end. Then he said, " Connie, i prayed this morning that God would work it out for us to get a piano and NOT have to put it on credit."
IS THAT NOT THE COOLEST EVER???
GOD IS AMAZING.
Well, onto the next part of the story:
Dad helped us with his trailer and when we got it home...it wouldn't fit through the doorway..
so we did what any Boyd family member would do...
we cut the wall.:)

And here is our piano the Lord provided, taking up the WHOLE living room. and I love it.
The sound is so AMAZING. and the fact that God provided it makes me love it more.
And I cannot post without few pics of the kids. We had dentist appointments last week..and my kids are weird. MOST of them LOVE it. So much so, that they came home and "played dentist" for several hours.:) Ha. I love them.

( Aeva is laughing in the picture, regardless of what it looks like.:)

So much to comment on!! Glad to hear you've been refreshed...As I was walking home from my niece's game this morning, with each breath I was asking God to fill with a piece of armor, love, peace, patience...all the things I need (Emma woke up screaming about 5:15, I'm on week 4 of crap sleep, so I needed me some Jesus refill - I was so empty this am I was smoking...sigh)...house is looking good and piano looks great! Love how God provides like that. So nice to see pictures of the kids. we sure to miss you guys. wish we could skype more to see and chat with you!! I miss you sister, I feel so out of touch with you. Praying for you daily.
