I went to a friends house yesterday, who has had her 6 year old son that she and her family adopted for a little over a month. He is the cutest little thing from Ethiopia, named Melkomu.
As CUTE as he is, he has been a very HARD little boy. Screaming and crying fits for hours. Along with a lot of other things. We are talking about spiritual warfare and how real it is..anyway, I went to read the next chapter in Ephesians this morning during my quiet time and this verse came up: "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[c] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places".
God thing? SURE IS! Reminded me to pray for her and her family and call and encourage her with how she and her husband are handling the situation...I LOVE how God is pursuing! That has been COUNTLESS times in the last few weeks that God has brought up a scripture or topic that I had just been thinking or talking about with a friend. He is good.
Anyway, on to the next God story. I have been talking about cutting my hair for a long time.
We are doing family picture this sunday, so i wanted to get it done before then and decided to just walk in to a beauty salon since i couldnt get an appointment with my friend til next week.
I was hesitant to do it since our $ is not good right now..but decided to go anyway.
I got there, told the stylist i wasnt sure how short i wanted to go, so maybe make it medium and
we would see if i wanted her to go ahead and cut it short...well, as she was brushing it out, she says, " one thing, if you cut it above the shoulder, you will have enough to donate to locks of love!"
So I decided to go ahead and do it!
She gives me this super cute cut and style ( I LOVE IT!)
and when we get up to the counter to pay, she says.
I am a cancer survivor.
To thank you for donating your hair, i want to give you your cut for FREE.
No.Way. ( if this is what usually happens when you donate your hair, don't tell me! I choose to believe it was MY God being loving and gracious to me!:)
Isn't he GOOD!?!
So, here's a look at the new do!
