It warms my heart....

I am enjoying the fact that Christmas is less than 3 weeks away. This year it seems like we are really celebrating Jesus rather than thinking about what we are going to get!:) Our babysitter got us a chocolate Advent calender.( like my reflection?:) Each day has a piece of chocolate (it doesn't have the bible story though...so I guess it really isn't a TRUE advent calender!:) But we do have a real one my sis got the kids while she was here so we are reading each days part of the story while someone eats their piece of chocolate( we have to take turns..there are 5 of them!:)

We also have a book we read every night til' Christmas starting Dec. 1st( I got it for cassie when she was little) It gets old for me but the kids LOVE it! It was so cute to sit with them tonight while Cassie read the story!:) She blesses my heart.

It is such a simple book, but really makes a BIG point. It talks about all the thing we love about Christmas, like, Cookies, decorating the tree, presents, family ect., but each time it talks about what we love it says..BUT, thats NOT the best thing about Christmas! All the kids say that part together.(loudly:) Aeva even tries to say it..it's so cute! It goes on to say what the BEST thing about Christmas is: The birth of JESUS! And then we sing happy birthday to him. It's a fun tradition for them while also teaching biblical truths. I was telling Tyson the other night...our kids will probably fight over that silly 5$ book when we die because of the memories we are building.:) Makes me smile!

Christmas decor is my favorite!:) This is the cheap-after-christmas decorations I bought on 75% clearance a few years back. LOVE IT!
